Study your cards

Start a session, choose an answer, and set how much each deck brings a day.

A study session

Choose what to study

On Decks, choose Study all, or a deck's Study. A deck brings its sub-decks' cards too.

Recall, then show the answer

Think of the answer first. On a type-in card, type it; the answer side shows whether it matched, ignoring case and accents.

Say how it went

Each button shows when the card would come back. Rondo uses your answer to schedule it.

Rondo shows cards in their learning steps when they're due, then today's reviews (the ones you're most likely to forget first), then new cards.

Answer buttons

Choose four or two in Profile › Answer buttons.

ButtonChoose it when
AgainYou could not recall the answer.
HardYou recalled it with difficulty.
GoodYou recalled it.
EasyYou recalled it effortlessly.

With two buttons, you have Again and Good.

If you forgot the answer, choose Again. Hard means you remembered it.

Answered wrong? Undo appears for a moment after each answer; Z works any time.

Click or tap the card to show the answer. On a card that asks you to type, typing is optional: leave it empty to just see the answer. Undo stays until you answer the next card.

Daily limits

Each deck has New cards a day (20 by default) and Reviews a day (200), in its settings. Studying a deck counts its sub-decks against its own limits. A day starts at 4 am, in your time zone.

How the schedule works

Rondo schedules with FSRS. A new card comes back after 1 and 10 minutes before it's learned; a forgotten one after 10 minutes. Each deck's Target retention (90% by default) is how likely you are to remember a card when it's due: higher means more reviews.

Once you have about a thousand reviews, Rondo fits the schedule to your memory, on your device, about once a week. Nothing to turn on.

Progress

Open Progress for your reviews over the last year, your streak, true retention (learned cards you answered correctly in the last 30 days), how many cards you have, and what's due over the next 30 days.
