Rondo Docs

Sync and offline

Keep your decks on all your devices; work offline and sync when you're back.

Rondo works without an account; your decks then stay on that device. Sign in (an email code, a passkey, Google or Apple) to sync them with your other devices. Whatever you made before signing in comes along.

Work offline

Each device keeps its own copy of your decks, notes, and progress. You can study, edit, and import without a connection. Rondo syncs every few minutes, and a few seconds after you change something; the sidebar shows when it last did, and Sync now does it straight away.

Before clearing browser data

The web app keeps its copy in your browser. Clearing the site's data removes it: let it sync first.

The web app runs in one tab at a time; opening it in another tab offers Use Rondo here, which moves it there.

Pictures and sounds

Pictures and sounds live on the device that added them, and sync to your account's storage, so your other devices and the people you share with get them too. Free accounts hold 200 MB, Pro 5 GB.

When two devices disagree

The most recent change to a deck or note wins. Reviews never conflict: each device's answers are kept, and the schedule follows all of them.

Sync issues

Sometimes the server can't take a change: you edited a deck that's no longer shared with you, or one its author removed. Rondo then keeps the server's version, and lists yours in Sync issues (in the sidebar). Save my version as a copy keeps it as something of your own; Discard lets it go.

Export everything

Profile › Your data › Export everything emails you a link to a ZIP of your decks, notes, review history and media. The link works for 7 days.
